Spent today at Andy Clarke's (of Stuff and Nonsense) workshop titled "Transcending CSS: Modern Techniques For Designing A Beautiful Web" which he held at the LCB Depot in Leicester. It's triggered a lot of ideas, and has really helped with thinking of designing sites in a different way - definitely an eye opener.
One thing that is really noticable about his workshops is the style in which he does them - you find yourselves bustling with ideas, and wanting to try them out - and in these smaller workshops it's really encouraged to ask questions, make comments, and to basically interact so we get the answers to the questions we want answering.
Towards the end of the day he talked about the upcoming standard CSS3 which is currently in a very sorry state. To put it bluntly the standard is broken and is full of holes. So over the next few weeks I'm planning on writing a few articles on the nasties of CSS3, what's wrong with it, and how it could be fixed. Also planning to add some examples to my Flickr stream round about the same time.
Also if anyone reading this went to the workshop, feel free to comment!

Glad you enjoyed the day David. Couldn't agree more that Andy's ideas and approach make you think. Looking forward to your articles.
