If someone asked me if Google had a sense of humour I'd say "yes", and here's why. We've been having problems with a number of Google Mini's lately as one's running revision G16 of the software seem to break when the index reaches a certain size (which isn't that big) to such a degree you can't access the admin interface. There is a patch (G22) that fixes it, though if the box doesn't come back for long enough then you can't patch it. When this occurs they do have a support page for it though, just it's the most convoluted process of verifying access despite the fact it can only be done from a local network. They issue a "challenge" where you have to take the first so many letters of a key displayed on the page and then type them back in with the case reversed (upper-case becomes lower-case and vice-versa). At the end of it they say:
If you are unsuccessful, you receive a new challenge.
Considering the pain involved in trying to get access to the mini before you resort to such measures, it saying "you receive a new challenge" just feels like they're saying your going to have fun trying to get access.
