The jQuery developers have released a new version of jQuery UI that is now compatible with jQuery 1.3 meaning improved performance from the UI part of the framework. They've improved the codebase for all their plugins so they they are optimised, and have "cleaner" code. For those looking at speeding up their code even more they don't have to host it themselves either - Google's CDN has been updated to use the latest version too. There are also many, many other changes listed in the full changelog.
