A rejected design for the Iron Man costume.

Browsing around I have come across a site that claims to have designs for the Iron Man costume in the upcoming Iron Man movie that were rejected by the studios.

These were designed/rendered by Brandon Perlow who has done TV and movie computer effects work. Brandon met with visual effects supervisor John Nelson who said that although he liked the design and that in some cases it paralleled what they were doing, it did not fit in with their overall direction. They're wanting to go in more of an Adi Granov design direction.

That sucks! The costume design that you have right here is one-of-a-kind and i've seen no other like it. Either somthing in their heads are malfunctioning or they're just demented. Oh well......

They made a good choice in not using the suit by Brandon Perlow. The suit does look slighty effemanite. No offence to Perlow, but if you're going to remake a comic book icon, you don't want to change the features that make that icon who he is. Stick to almost the exact same features as the orignial, with only minor adjustments. Good examples of this principle are in movies such as "Ironman" 08 release(the custom they did choose),"Spiderman", and "Batman Begins".
