If you wish to use the Technorati API, or any scripts that use it, then you will require a FREE key. This can be retrieved by logging in to your Technorati and going to the Developer's Centre. Apparently the Technorati API limits you to 500 queries per day, so unless you have a fair amount of traffic to your site per day then you should still be able to implement this with no worries. If it is a concern then one possible solution is to cache the result and then get a crontab event refreshing the cache once every 10-30 minutes to keep the view up to date. Implementations of the API can be found at DuckSoup and Services_Technorati.

This gives your readers a good opportunity to add your blog post/article/etc. to their own Ma.gnolia account with comments and a rating providing a good, easy feedback method. What's more, it's also very easy to use. To do so, add the following code to your page:
The above script will create an image on your site, that when clicked will open up a "lightbox" containing the Ma.gnolia page for the page you are visiting.
UPDATE 27/06/2009: Please note that since this article was published, Ma.gnolia has now ceased it's services indefinately.
