I'd like to pause here to wish everyone a happy new year! I hope the coming year for everyone turns out to be a great one.
Right, enough of the pause - now onto some new year news! First up I'd like to mention that there are two new Anime reviews coming at some point this week: Howls Moving Castle, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. If you head over to my Flickr photographs you'll also see a new set titled "Life in Micro". This new set contains photographs that have been taken using my Canon EOS 300D mounted onto a microscope using various different objective lenses depending on the subject. Some of the photographs also use a dark field condenser to highlight the subject better, but to leave the surrounding area dark - produces some pretty interesting effects I thought.
Also, there is a small redesign to the "Articles" section to make articles easier to find. Instead of having to navigate through the taxonomy, you now get presented with a list of all "leaf" categories that contain articles. You may have noticed a few weeks ago I added the new opinion poll section to the site, along with the first poll - "What language do you code in the most?". I'll be using the poll section in the future to help me decide where to focus articles so that they can be of the most use - so far it seems most people who visit use PHP as their main language.
